Coding for Social Good and Beyond

Code Camps

In the Craft of Code students make interesting digital artifacts (artworks) that they can share with others.

For students entering fourth and fifth grades.

Data for the Social Good allows students to use data science to explore social causes.

For student entering sixth through ninth grades.

Language and Code teaches students to write programs that analyze and/ or generate different kinds of text, like poems, novels, lyrics and tweets.

For student entering sixth through ninth grades.

The Grinnell Laboratory for Interactive Multimedia Experimentation and Research (Glimmer Labs) explores how different approaches to computer science provide a more inclusive environment for students from all backgrounds. The camps are designed to promote said inclusion in the field by fostering computer science learning early on and increasing the accessibility of coding within the Grinnell community.
